Grand River Academy of Dance has been operating in Cambridge, Ontario for 20 years.  We offer recreational and competitive dance classes to kids ages 2 and up.  We have a competitive team that represents our studio across Southwestern Ontario.

Competitive Dance can be expensive.  There are class fees, entry, and choreography fees, plus costumes and other items that are essential to the dancer’s performance.   Our dance parents cover all the expenses for their dancers to attend each competition.

One of the best things about competitive dance is the team aspect.  Our competition weekends are full of support for one another.  Our dancers thrive when their teachers are there cheering them on.  The teachers volunteer their entire weekend to support our team.

Our studio has conducted fundraisers in the past to help our choreographers cover some of the expenses they incur travelling to the competitions to be with their students.   The money usually raised barely covers one weekend, let alone multiple weekends.
