Emily Sutton has been dancing since the age of four and has been with Grand River Academy of Dance since it opened in 2001. Emily has danced recreationaly and competitively partaking in the styles of ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre and tap. In 2011, Emily passed her Intermediate Ballet Exam with the Royal Academy of Dance. She has also shared her love for dance by volunteering as a hip hop teacher at the YMCA, and was a choreographer for Galt Collegiate Insitute’s annual Fashion Show. She continues to expand her love for dance by taking classes and has participated in workshops, including a workshop lead by the former principal dancer of the National Ballet of Canada, Frank Augustyn. Emily looks forward to sharing her love for dance with everyone.
